Hi , My name is Ryan,

Like you, I think logical thought on the existence of God is necessary. So, if a logical thought is introduced to you, being logical, you would think about it, and research to see if it is true. It's sounds like you are an educated man. A man that seeks the truth. A man that does not hide from the truth even if it is something you don't want to believe, or have not believed in the past. I don't expect you to believe what I will write, but if you truly want to know the truth, you should think unbiasedly, and research for yourself what the truth really is.

For example, if the argument, that if you believe in God you will not loose anything, and if you don't you will loose everything, and if you believe in other Gods is not true. In fact if the God of the Bible is the true God, even if you believe in another god, you will have lost everything. That premise is based on that the true God is the God of the Bible.

The argument, that God exists because life exists is valid, if you do your research. I'm sure you believe in evolution for the explanation of life on earth. Here is something you may be interested to read:

George Gaylord Simpson, professor of vertebrate paleontology at Harvard, commented:
"Simultaneous appearance of several gene mutations in one individual has never been observed, so far as I know, and any theoretical assertion that this is an important factor in evolution can be dismissed....the probability that five simultaneous mutations would occur in any one individual would be about .0000000000000000000001. This means that if the population averaged 100,000,000 individuals with an average length of generation of only one day, such an event could be expected only once in about 274,000,000,000--a period about one hundred times as long as the age of the earth."

But couldn't a fish undergo a single mutation contributing to a leg, with more accumulating over eons? Actually, many mutations don't get passed on. Not only do they normally make the individual less fit, but a mutated gene is often recessive--that is, offspring receive the trait only if both parents have it. So for our fish friend to perpetuate the "beneficial" mutation creating a bit of a leg, he might have to mate with another fish possessing the same chance mutation. Could such lucky coincidences happen again and again?

Zoologist Piere-Paul Grasse, former president of the French Academy of Sciences, observed:
"The opportune appearance of mutations permitting animals and plants to meet their needs seems hard to believe. Yet the Darwinian theory is even more demanding: A single plant, a single animal would require thousands and thousands of lucky, appropriate events. Thus, miracles would become the rule: events with an infinitesimal probability could not fail to occur".

Evolution says bacteria evolved successively into fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and man. Humans have about 100 times more DNA than bacteria--yet salamanders, who are amphibians, have 20 times more DNA than humans. Humans have 30 times more DNA than some insects, but less than half that of certain other insects. When amino acid sequences for alpha hemoglobins are compared, crocodiles, and chickens are more similar than crocodiles and vipers, even though the latter two are both reptiles.

Cytochrom C is a protein involved in creating cellular energy. Although cytochrome C sequences varied among the different terrestrial vertebrates, all of them are equidistant from those of fish. At a molecular level there is no trace of the evolutionary transition from fish to amphibian to reptile to mammal. So amphibia, always traditionally considered intermediate between fish and the other terrestrial vertebrates, are in molecular terms as far from fish as any group of reptiles or mammals!

Today's rate of extinction can be estimated through various analytical techniques to be a minimum of 1000, and possibly several thousand species per year. It generally takes tens of thousands of years for a new terrestrial vertebrate or a new plant species to emerge fully, and even species with rapid turnover rates, notably insects, usually require centuries, if not millennia, to generate a new species. If thousands of species become extinct every year, but it takes eons to evolve just one, how is evolution mathematically possible? Man's impact on the environment has accelerated modern extinction rates, but is this sufficient to resolve the dilemma?

The operation of pure chance would mean that within the half billion to a billion year period the organic molecules in the primeval seas might have to undergo (10 to the 130th exponentially) trial assemblies in order to hit upon the correct sequence. The possibility of such a chance occurrence leading to the formation of one of the smallest protein molecules is unimaginably small. Within the boundary conditions of time and space it is considered effectively zero.

Zoologist Harold Coffin summed the findings of James Coppedge:
"Coppedge calculates that the odds are (10 to the 161th exponentially) to one, that not one usable protein would result from chance even if all the atoms on the earth's surface, including water, air, and the crust of the earth were made into conveniently available amino acids and 4 to 5 billion years were involved."

Coffin noted:
"Morowitz has determined the probability for the origin of the organic precursors for the smallest likely living entity by random processes. He based his calculations of reaction probabilities, a somewhat different and more accurate approach than most other such computations. The chances for producing the necessary molecules, amino acids, proteins, et cetera, for a cell one tenth the size of the smallest known to man (Mycoplasm hominis H.39) is less than one in (10 to the 340 millionth) or 10 with 340 million zeros after it."

Consider an enzyme, then, of 100 amino acids, there would be no possibility whatever that a single molecule could ever have arisen by pure chance on the earth in five billion years. The discovery that our DNA codes are three-out-of-four, error correcting codes, which are stored, retrieved, copied, and processed to instruct machines to fabricate the complex proteins that make up living organisms, has rendered any attribution to unaided chance as absurd in the extreme. For more info on this subject I recommend the writings of William Dempski. There are two books that are a must to read to be truly educated on this subject of evolution. They are called, Darwin On Trial by Phillip E. Johnson, and Tornado In A Junkyard by James Perloff. Until you have read these books you are effectively ignorant on the subject of evolution.

An elegant design is more than the parts themselves: it involves information. It requires information input external to the design itself--and the deliberate involvement of a Designer.

I am glad you know Hebrew and Greek. This will help you understand biblical numerics. You will find that only one book, the greatest seller of all time, and specifically the King James Version is mathematically perfect and proven. No other book, including any religious book can claim this. Just one of the proofs that God is the author of the King James Bible is found in bible numerics. For example, (and this is were your Hebrew and Greek come in), if you take the original language of the scriptures contained in the KIng James Version, and take the numeric value of every single sentence in the King James Bible, you will find that every single sentence is divisible by 7. This is impossible for 4o men over thousands of years, in different countries to have collaborated. If you study biblical numerics you will find that the number seven is always associated with perfectness. It is God's perfect number. There are several other examples of this in the KIng James Version. But don't take my word. I encourage you to research all this for your self. I trust you will not hide from the truth when it is presented to you. Or will you just write all this off as bull droppings. If you are truly interested in the truth that God exists and he is the God of the bible maybe you should do a little more research on the subject. Also if you study and know biblical prophesy you will know what will happen in the future, and when these things happen, ( and they will happen within this generation) it will be conformation for you that God is real and the bible is His word. Hopefully it will not be too late by then.

If you believe in the God of the bible you will have gained everything.
If you don't believe in the God of the bible you will have lost everything.
Any other god of any other religion won't send you to Hell.
The God of the bible will.
If there is no God you lose nothing.
If God is another besides the God of the bible you don't go to Hell.
If He is the God of the bible you have eternal torment to look forward to if you don't believe.
Do you know what it feels like to burn?
There is the true version of that argument.

All of your arguments against the arguments for God don't hold much water. And finally if you do your research on arguments against evolutionary theory, and research biblical numerics you will have to have more faith to believe that God does not exist than you would that if you believed He does exist. This is my challenge to you. E-mail me back at NESRYNPAT@JUNO.COM if you dare to debate me. If you don't I will know you are hiding from the truth, and know you subconsciously don't want to believe in God so you can continue living sinfully with a good conscience, and continue deceiving yourself.

Waiting for your challenge,

Ryan
