Hello,

I am looking for some works that I know exist (but unfortunately I don't know their names). A friend of mine in a religious studies class said that there are some books of?for? the Bible that were never OK'ed by the ?church fathers? whomever it was that put together that which became the Bible? I have heard that it's hard to find these things as most were probably done away with by the Church. I think they were called 'Gospel according to so-and-so', but once again, I'm not really sure. If you have ANY idea as to what I'm talking about I would be appreciative of um just about anything. :) Thanks!

Hi Eric,

For starters, try my site under ExtraBiblical at http://www.cygnus-study.com/extrab.shtml That has about four or five books not included in the Bible. Then there is http://www.cygnus-study.com/pagelos.shtml. Also, on my links page at http://www.cygnus-study.com/pagelinks.shtml, you will find a link to a place called the NonCanonical Homepage. It has more than you could read in a year.

Enjoy!
Sincerely,

Sam Gibson
