Sending Cygnus E-mail

Before sending me e-mail, I request that you read a few things. This will save you and me a little bit of time.

Things that you should know:

  1. I do not hate Christians.
  2. I am not angry at your god because I do not believe that your god exists. BIG difference. Please learn it.
  3. I own and have read many different versions of the Bible. In fact, I consult several versions when I study.
  4. I speak Hebrew almost fluently and can read and understand the Torah in its orginal language.
  5. I am learning and am familiar enough with Greek to be able to read the New Testament in Greek.
  6. I have never been a Christian and thus have not lost my faith. I never had faith in Christianity or Jesus to begin with.
  7. I will read, but I will probably not respond to your answers to the Hierophant's Proselytizer Questionnaire. I have heard just about every answer that you can possibly think of. If you would like to discuss this, we have a message board dedicated to this questionnaire HERE. You will need to register and create a profile.
  8. I have read Josh McDowell's work (Evidence that Demands a Verdict and Tough Questions) and I have read C.S. Lewis' work (Mere Christianity and The Abolition of Man) and feel that both are weak attempts to sell something that they have bought into. Neither convinced me to become a Christian but both convinced me that intelligent people can be suckered into believing Christianity.
  9. Please... by all means... pray for me. Every second that you spend praying for me will mean less that you are spouting your dogma at someone else. Since I do not believe that your god exists, as far as I am concerned you are praying to nothing and that only affects you in that it is a huge waste of time.
  10. Any e-mail that you send me is my property which I am free to do with as I wish. This will probably mean read and delete in most cases but in some instances I might put your e-mail in E-mail Central.

I will be adding more to the above list, but this should be a pretty good start.
